Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect a parent's email address, a child's grade level, and how the weeks go. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your child never creates an account, never signs in, and we never ask for their name. We don't sell anyone's data, and there are no ads on the site.
1. Who this covers
This policy describes how White Barn Digital, LLC (operating as The Sunday Packet) handles information on thesundaypacket.com and in the subscription service. Questions any time: support@thesundaypacket.com.
2. What we collect
From you, the parent or guardian: your email address, the grade level you choose for your child at checkout, and your weekly check-in responses (each skill marked smooth, bumpy, or skipped). From Stripe: your subscription status and payment confirmations — Stripe processes the payment itself, and we never receive or store your full card number. Automatically, like nearly every website: standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) from our hosting provider, and analytics events described in section 5.
3. What we never collect about your child
No name. No date of birth. No photos. No account, login, or screen time of any kind. The only child-related information in our system is a grade level and week-by-week skill signals, both provided by you and tied to your account, not to your child's identity.
4. Children's privacy (COPPA)
The Sunday Packet is a service for parents and guardians. It is not directed to children, and children do not interact with the site or service — the product a child touches is paper. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email support@thesundaypacket.com and we will delete it promptly.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, Google Ads conversion measurement to know whether our advertising works, and Microsoft Clarity, which shows us anonymized session replays and heatmaps of how visitors move through the site (Clarity masks sensitive content by default). These tools set cookies. We use this in aggregate — to see what's working — not to build profiles of individuals. You can block or clear cookies in your browser and the site will still work.
6. How we use information
To deliver and adapt the weekly packets, to run your subscription and send service email (delivery notices, receipts, sign-in links), to answer support requests, and to improve the product using aggregate statistics. That's the list.
7. Service providers
We share information only with the providers that run the service, and only what each needs: Stripe (payments and subscriptions), Netlify (website hosting and serverless infrastructure), Supabase (our database), Google (analytics and ads measurement), Microsoft (Clarity session analytics), and email delivery providers (to send the packets and sign-in links). Each is bound by its own privacy and security obligations.
8. What we don't do
We don't sell personal information. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We don't run third-party ads. We disclose information beyond section 7 only if the law requires it or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the service.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after, so you can come back without starting over. Email support@thesundaypacket.com from your account address to have your data deleted; we'll confirm when it's done. Records we're legally required to keep (like tax and payment records) are retained as required.
10. Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted, data lives with the established providers named above, and access is limited to what operating the service requires. No system is perfectly secure, but we've built this one with a small, boring, well-guarded footprint on purpose.
11. Your choices
You can access, correct, or delete your information by emailing us. You can cancel anytime, and canceling plus a deletion request removes your data per section 9. Service emails (packet delivery, sign-in links, receipts) are part of the product while you subscribe; anything promotional will always have an unsubscribe link.
12. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and notify the email on your account before the change takes effect.
